Hi, hello, it’s been a while hasn’t it?! I feel like since I’ve been gone a while, and with posts before my break being intermittent, I’d write a quick little update. I’m not exaggerating when I say that a lot’s happened, because seriously, a lot has happened!
So first off, I finished college in June! I won’t lie, I thought going back to college for the HNC year would be a fab idea. It’s had it’s ups and downs but it’s fair to say it was a bit of a waste of time. I won’t go as far as saying I regret it because I’m aware it’s lead me to exactly where I am right now, but I’ll probably go into in more detail at a later date.
So, finishing college, I still work for my Mum’s business and now the extra time I have is going to be spent on/is being spent on working on my shop. I’m so inspired and motivated to make this work and I can’t wait to start doing my shop update blog posts again. I started them last year when I starting working hard on my shop but college made it a bit difficult to continue designing new products. So, now I’m hoping to do monthly updates again! And there’s something super exciting happening with regards to my shop next month so look out for the next update for that.
Ok, now on to the outfit details part of this post. Enjoy!
|TROUSERS – Topshop:
For my trip to Brighton I tried my best to leave my jeans at home. I’ve seen these trousers on Instagram from the likes of Anna (The Anna Edit) and Amy (The Little Magpie). I thought, STRIPES yaas, and then PAPER BAG WAIST double yaas.
So, I ordered them, and here they are. With these trousers you really don’t have to think much about the rest of the outfit. I styled them down for this outfit in particular but look forward to the opportunity to style them up too.
|TOP – H&M: This top is super simple, just a plain black tee with white piping around the neck and arms. A very casual top that’s slightly cropped so tucks in nicely to the trousers.
JACKET – Newlook: This jacket is my absolute favourite. Give me a biker jacket in any colour and I’ll wear it. The Khaki’s perfect for every season and I can’t wait to style this in the Autumn/Winter with a black hoodie underneath. (I swear I’m not wishing the Summer away!)
|SHOES – Vans: Before buying this pair of Vans I already had a couple of pair of the suede Old Skools. So, when I saw these in the sale I decided to pick them up. Grey leather with a silver zip detail. Definitely super casual but I think they look great to dress the trousers down.||BAG – Topshop: This leather barrel bag is so easy to throw on with any outfit. An it fits so much in that it was perfect for the few days that we spent in Brighton. It can be worn with the short handles on the crook of your arm or with the long strap across body.|
|So, there’s my first outfit back. A casual outfit and a catch up with where I’ve been. I won’t make any promises but hopefully blog content will be a bit more regular from now on.|
